Lake Naivasha

Depart Nairobi early morning drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley, visit hells gate for excursions, bike rides hiking rock climbing, and wildlife viewing. Lunch en-route to lake Naivasha Kenya most beautiful rift valley lake surrounded by feathery papyrus, marshy lagoons, and grassy shores where distorted flocks of graceful flamingoes and pink-backed pelican settle on the water.

One can take a boat to Crescent Island, a private game sanctuary where you can walk around the island and view at close range, zebra, waterbuck’ giraffe, and several species of antelopes.

Lake Nakuru

Depart to Lake Nakuru which is 2 hours from Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will immediately venture into the park for game viewing searching for buffaloes, waterbucks, baboons, lions, giraffes, and hyenas. Have lunch at a lodge. After lunch activities include hiking, sand boarding, white water rafting, and boat rides as you enjoy the panoramic view of overlooking spectacular pink rimmed Lake Nakuru that makes the better part of the afternoon. Depart and return to Nairobi arriving in the evening.

Rift Valley Escarpment and Game Viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park
The 160km drive from Nairobi passes through rolling farms of Kikuyu people before descending the escarpment into the dramatic landscape of the Rift Valley.
After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive that focuses on the magnificent spectacle of thousands of flamingoes.

- 0600hrs: Pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi and depart for Lake Nakuru National park via the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley,
- 1000hrs: Arrive at the Nakuru National park and proceed for a 2hr game drive.

Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo’s and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance, the lake appears ringed in pink.
The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo, and baboons are all residents’ here

- 1230hrs: Enjoy lunch at one of the lodges nearby (at your own cost)
- 1430hrs: Further game drives then proceed to Nairobi. To arrive by 1830 hrs; drop off at your hotel where the day safari ends.

Hippos are seen and heard during boat rides. Birdlife around the lake is also abundant. Depart and return to Nairobi arriving in the evening.
